Special thanks to Mrs. Palm, LMC Director at Greenbrier for working with me on this project.
Star Wars is science fiction.
Science fiction is a genre of imagination. These stories are about future scientific and technological advances. They often have space exploration, time travel, and even ALIENS! Share what you read or do on our padlet. |

Let's Reflect On Our Reading This Year
One of my favorite parts of the last days of school is talking with students about their favorite books of the year, learning what LMC activities stayed with them the most, what books engaged their minds and hearts.
I also want to know what they want to see in the LMC next year. What books are we missing, or don't have enough of (Dog Man, looking at you)? What are they anticipating as a reader? (the final book in the Amulet series?) I'd love to hear what you - students, parent, teachers - think. Just clicky on those two Flipgrids over there --------------> |

Sound in our National ParksWhy do sounds matter?
Download the Junior Ranger activity book. Learn with Lucy the Listening Owl. Use the links at the top of the National Park Service site to explore, understand and measure sounds. Learn how animals use sound. I bet you know cicadas are loud, but did you know they're the LOUDEST insect?
Listen to sounds in the sound gallery. Have you ever heard a pig frog or a bald eagle? Listen to an avalanche or a coyote pack.
